The Boy's Room

This is what a room looks like where 3 boys ages 4 and under sleep.
Porter on the top bunk, Joey on the bottom bunk, and Jacob gets to sleep over there by the wall. In a room with 3 boys, you also require lots of storage. As you can see, we have 2, yes, that is right, 2 chest of drawers, and what you can't see is on the back on the doors going into the room ar 2 full length shoe holders (maybe the best thing we have ever purchased!!).

Thanks to my dad, mom, and grandma for helping pull this off. I wish I had pictures of what the house looked like while we were turning it upside down moving furniture. What we accomplished in 3 days would have taken Wayne and I over a month!

Now, you are probably wondering how it is going with 3 boys in one room.
Here are a few of my thoughts:
1. For the first time ever, everyone goes to bed at the same time. That means, only 1story time, 1 song time...yeah!! Bedtime routine just changed from like an hour to maybe 20 minutes!
2. Porter actually asks us to leave the room, where before he would require back rubbing, lots of stories, giggling, coming in and out of his room...unbelievable!
3. Porter has not tippy toed his way into our bed AT ALL in over 5 days. For mommy, this means a solid night's sleep. YEAH!
4. They have all slept through the right!

Now....the hard part of this is the following:
1. When one wakes up, they all wake up...even if that means it is 5:45 (the last 2 days) uggg.

This morning, Wayne convinced them they needed to stay in their room longer, which they did, even though it was very loud with laughter. They were having a great time together which was exactly what I wanted to happen. A little while went by, and Porter pokes his head out of the door asking, "Daddy, can we get up yet?" Silly boy, he doesn't realize they were already up.

So...it is possible. We have some things to work on, and hopefully, this summer will not be a summer of 5:45 am mornings!

Well....We changed Porter's room into a Playroom, and the twins room is now, sort of a guest room, and sort of a learning type room. I am also hoping to sneak in there once in a while and finish the scrapebooks I have started, and be able to lock the door and leave my stuff out for a while. Prob, that will NEVER happen.
