The Thursday before Halloween, Porter's School had a Storybook Parade. It was so fun to be able to see him with his friends for the first time...in action. The little girl there is Lauren H. She is one of his buddies! He thought it was pretty cool had a picture of them together.
Porter didn't decide until it was time to actually begin Trick or Treating, what he was going to be....BUMBLEBEE was the winner. Captioned below is his best bud, Israel..who is also BUMBLEBEE.
Maybe one of the funniest memories of the night was watching Jacob and Joey Trick or Treat. I didn't actually think they would go out...in fact, I didn't intend for them too at all. Anyway, they did, and that is that. They carried bags, (Jacob had Porter's Spiderman one, and Joey carried a gift sack (Transformers). By the end of the night, Joey's candy was coming out the bottom of the bag because he was dragging it on the ground. Also, they made themselves welcome in 2 houses....walked right in when the people opened their doors!! I was laughing so hard. They had no idea the etiquette of Halloween.
These are not our pumpkins, but, they we super cool!
Afterwards, we got Angie and Rudy's fire pit going and roasted some marsh mellows. They weather couldn't have been better, and the sugarush the kids had was WOW....Let me just say, I think they could have been doing flips!
Joey loved his marsh mellows, but, remember this: He does not like them black. He about gagged when he ate one that was cooked a little longer than he would have liked!
